Topps recently released their High Number product of Heritage, adding an extra 200 base cards (#500-700) along with 25 Short Prints (#701-725). The Angels have notoriously had a blank corner, where the city is normally place (Boston, Los Angeles, etc.) due to having the same city in their name as the Dodgers, throwing collectors off. Topps has decided to put “American League” on that part of the card, now, so there is no more confusion. Traded players as well as late call ups are the core of these 225 cards, as well as autographs and memorabilia. Mixed in are the usual throwback player cards based off of the set that this year is imitating a previous years set, this one being 1974. There are also the parallels, some that are Hobby exclusive, and the “Hot Box Refractor” that is found in Hobby and Blaster boxes.

Image variants, Player Name Position Swaps, Black & White, Error, and Nicknames. No more checking codes! The Variants are placed on the bottom left corner, so still check those backs just in case, especially for the error and image variations. There are also Chrome and Mini variations of most of the base cards, but not all.

The 2023 Heritage High Number product has the “Real One” autographs, which include new and old players. The “Real One Dual” 7-card set, which focuses mainly on newer players but also mixes older players in as well. The small 5-card “1974 MLB Highlights Autographs” that has Amos Otis, Ben Blyleven, Luis Tiant, Nolan Ryan, and Rollie Fingers. A 15-card set of “1974 Cut Signatures” that are all #’d 1/1 and mixes both ball players and celebrities ranging from Hank Aaron to Andy Warhol, Lou Brock or Ringo Starr, and more.
To top things off, there’s the small 5-card “Clubhouse Collection Autograph Relics” set that gives you both a signature and relic, both in one card.
