One of my favorite products of the year to look at and get into breaks, personally, Stadium Club still has its trademark full bleed images containing some of the best moments in the game this year with hand-signed autographs (2 per Hobby Box). The major flaw for me were pre-sales in late September, then pushing back the release date until January of 2024. This was the first time that I had reviewed or purchased a product from the previous year, in the following year. It didn’t feel, look, or sound right, but here we are.

On to the product itself, Topps Stadium Club 2023, there are a few ways you can get your hands on it. Your normal Hobby boxes contain 2 autographs each, Hobby “Compact” which contain just 1 autograph per box, and Blaster Boxes which contain 1 “Master Photo Base Variation Topper”. Those opening retail Blaster Boxes will find 1 Variation Topper from a 25-card set. Like usual, the product covers current and former stars, as well as top rookies over a 300-card base set; there are also Chrome variations. The product also includes photo variations of certain players, along with inserts and autographs.

The following inserts can be found in this year’s product: Beam Team (1 per case), Instavision, Triumvirates are returning favorites. New additions include Chief Fantasy Professionals (1:8 packs), Goin’ Yard (1:64 packs) paying tribute to outstanding home run hitters, “Virtuosos of Velocity” (1:8 packs), and the rare “SC in 3D” bringing lenticular technology to these cards (limited to 100 copies). Then you have your base autographs with a myriad of parallels, Co-Signers (#/10 or less), and Lone Star Signatures (#/25 or less). There are also autographed versions of some of the inserts: Beam Team Autographs (#/10 or less), Chief Fantasy Professionals Autographs (#/15 or less), and Goin’ Yard Autographs (#/10 or less). On top of that, select players from the Base Chrome (#/10 or less), Base 1991 Design Variations and Base 1992 Draft Pick Rookie Design Variations have autographed versions.

As for parallels in the base set, they are as follow: Sepia (Retail only), Red Foil, Black Foil, Black & White, Orange Foil #/199, Purple Foil #/75, Blue Foil #/50, Rainbow Foilboard #/25, First Day Issue (10 Copies), Members Only (1 per case), Photographer’s Proof (1:2 Cases), Gold Rainbow Foil 1/1. Base Short Print Variation – 1 card, 1:5,639 packs, #300 Alan Narz – The Rip Master. Base Image Variations, 50 cards, 1:216 Hobby packs, 200 copies per card. Base 1991 Design Variations, 50 cards, 1:216 Hobby packs, 200 copies per card. Base Rookie Design Variations, 50 cards, 1:469 Hobby packs, 92 copies per card. Base Chrome set, 90 cards, 1:16 Hobby packs.

Good luck ripping one of the prettiest sets out there on the market, before 2024 Topps Series 1 hits the shelves in a couple of weeks!
