A player's team is determined by the team listed on the card. If no team is listed, the card is randomized.
If multiple players are listed, the card is randomized unless one team has more than 50% of the players listed — in that case, the card goes to that team. Otherwise, it's randomized among the listed teams, with each team receiving one entry per player listed. For example, a card showing 2 Yankees, 2 Phillies, and 1 Red Sox player results in 5 entries: 2 Yankees, 2 Phillies, 1 Red Sox.
Cards showing players in college, high school, or minor league uniforms go to the team listed on the card. If none is listed, the card goes to the team that most recently drafted the player, or failing that, the team that most recently signed them. Otherwise, it's randomized.
Teams that no longer exist go to their successor franchise — for example, the Milwaukee Braves go to the Atlanta Braves franchise, not the Milwaukee Brewers. Teams unaffiliated with any listed franchise, such as Negro League teams, are randomized (the “Eddie Mathews rule”).
Retired players go to the team listed on the card, or the uniform worn if none is listed, or the team they played the most games for if the uniform is indistinguishable. Otherwise, the card is randomized.
Cards such as Panini Points are randomized among all spots in the break — for example, a 30-spot break enters all 30 spots.
Cards are randomized using the random.org list randomizer, run 5 times per randomization. The randomization should be shown on screen whenever possible; if not, a screenshot including the timestamp and number of executions should be posted to the break chat immediately.
If an entry receives no cards from a break, the breaker should provide 1 random card of their choosing to that team (not taken from another team), ensuring every entry receives at least one card.
Sellers should clearly define any war rules for their breaks. The following default rules apply only when the seller has not defined their own.
The lowest serial number to the right of the “/” wins. Ties go to the lowest number to the left of the “/”. If no numbered card is pulled, the highest number of autographs pulled wins. If no autographs are pulled, all parties keep their own cards.
All but one party must concede the loss. If more than one party declines to concede, the breaker runs a vote in the event chat — highest vote count wins, with the breaker voting only to break a tie.
