For breakers

Small habits that make a real difference in how your breaks perform.

  1. Schedule around your audience, not just your calendar
Nights and weekends consistently draw the biggest crowds for most breakers. If you're building an audience, a predictable weekly time slot helps buyers plan around you — consistency builds habit.
  2. Price your first few breaks to build trust, not maximize profit
New breakers earn repeat buyers by being fair and transparent early on. A slightly tighter margin on your first several breaks, paired with clear communication, tends to pay off in loyal buyers down the line.
  3. Keep the box and cards centered in frame
A centered shot survives cropping across platforms and looks intentional whether someone's watching on a phone or a TV. Overlay text, logos, and pricing graphics should stay away from the far left and right edges for the same reason.
  4. Keep all cards on screen at all times
Buyers want to see exactly what happens to every card that comes out of the box. Keeping everything visible on camera protects both you and them, and it's expected as part of the platform's Breaker Policy.
  5. Check your break summary before you price the next one
Revenue, cost, fees, and profit are all sitting in your break summary after every break. A five-minute review tells you whether a product or price point is actually working before you commit to running it again.
  6. Stream to more than one platform if you're trying to grow
Multistreaming to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok at once puts your break in front of audiences that would otherwise never find you. See the Multistream Setup Guide to get set up.
  7. Over-communicate on shipping
Buyers are far more patient with a delay they were told about than a silent one. A quick heads-up in Buyer–Breaker Messaging goes a long way toward good ratings and repeat business.

For buyers

Ways to get more value and fewer surprises out of every break.

  1. Read the breaker's profile before you buy in
A breaker's Meet Your Breaker section lists the formats they run, the vibe of their streams, and their typical price range. It's the fastest way to know if a breaker is a good fit before you commit.
  2. Know your break format going in
PYT, Random Team, and Division breaks all pay off differently. If you want certainty, Pick Your Team; if you're comfortable with variance for a shot at a better team, random formats can offer more value per dollar.
  3. Follow breakers you like to catch their schedule
Breakers often run on a predictable weekly rhythm. Use the “Follow Breaker” button on a breaker's Clubhouse to follow your favorites — it's the easiest way to catch their next break before spots fill up.
  4. Keep communication on the platform
Messaging your breaker through Breaker Toolbox (rather than social DMs) keeps a record of the conversation, which matters if you ever need to reference it for a refund request or shipping issue.
  5. Check tracking before assuming a package is lost
Once a breaker ships your order, tracking is available in your account. Carriers occasionally run behind, especially around holidays — check tracking status before reaching out.
  6. Know how randomization works
Random slots are assigned using Breaker Toolbox's randomization tool, which the breaker doesn't control the outcome of. See the Randomization Policy for details.
  7. Check whether shipping is free before comparing prices
Some breakers build shipping into their prices; others charge it separately. A slot that looks cheaper up front isn't always the better deal once shipping is added — check the listing or the breaker's store page before you compare.
  8. Clarify “hits only” vs. all cards up front
Some breaks ship every card that comes out of the box; others only ship the notable “hits” (autos, relics, big rookies) and keep or resell the rest. Every breaker defines “hits” a little differently, so check the listing details or ask before you buy in if it matters to you.
