The DJAWN Randomizer

The DJAWN Randomizer is a proprietary randomization engine which takes advantage of Microsoft’s randomization algorithm to ensure each break is randomized securely, fairly, and randomly. DJAWN does not influence or benefit from this randomization.

Q – How does the DJAWN Randomizer work?
A – The DJAWN Randomizer takes the manual steps out of randomizing breaks. When the last slot of a randomized break is purchased, the Randomizer automatically performs the randomization and shows the results. This takes randomization completely out of the hands of the breaker, ensuring an unbiased result with no manual work required by the breaker.

Q – For the newbies out there, what is randomization and why is it needed?
A – Randomization is the act of randomly assigning teams (or any other differentiator) to each entrant. It is commonly used for breaks to ensure that every person has an equal chance to get each player, team, or division. Randomization is typically not used in PYT (pick your team) breaks.

Q – How is randomization done now on other platforms?
A – On some platforms, it’s not done at all because they don’t offer random team or division breaks. Other platforms use a 3rd party randomization tool such as random.org. In it’s simplest form, this requires that the breaker copy and paste buyers into the site and generate the generate the randomization one or multiple times. The breaker needs to share this screen with the buyers to ensure integrity and then copy and paste the results again.
